"Don't wait for GALILEO, but develop and use GNSS applications today!" - this was the conclusion drawn by Heinrich Derenbach from the State Surveying Office. The Statement was confirmed by Prof. Dr. Reiner Jäger from the Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences. Precise (meter accuracy) or highly precise (centimeter accuracy) positioning in real time is already possible today at low cost. At the satellite navigation workshop held as part of the Reutlingen Innovation Days, Mr. Jäger outlined the necessary steps. Olaf Bijlholt from the Topcon Deutschland GmbH explained the necessary equipment and Dieter Baral/BARAL Ingenieur Consult GmbH presented the current possibilities in the field of surveying.
