The use of Building Information Modeling (BIM) in civil engineering could be experienced live by about 70 participants yesterday on the pilot construction site Erbstetten of the company MTS Maschinentechnik Schrode AG. They gained insights into digital 3D planning as well as 3D construction execution, the architecture of a BIM execution plan, the joint digital data storage of planners, clients and contractors as well as smart equipment management. The event was rounded off with a presentation by Boll und Partner on the BIM pilot construction site in Küstnacht (Switzerland).
